Let's Dance
David Bowies song Lets Dance is one of the most influential
songs of the eighties. He is also in my opinion one of the absolute
greatest singers and performers of our time.
I remember when I heard Lets Dance for the first time at my
recordcompany back then. It went on playing nonstop in my head all
through that summer It was "a must have" on the album
Lovestar.
It was also one of the biggest challenges to take this wonderful
great evergreen into a completely new setting.
We wanted to bring it into a futuristic sci-fi techno landscape.
Really stripping it from its past, but still keeping its original
soul and spirit. We chose to cross Lets Dance with the US number
one hit Boom Boom Pow of the Black Eyed Peas to get the right Star
Trek vibe.
So...when listening to the Lovestar version of Lets Dance...Let it
move you from the inside..Dancing you Consciously Blissfully into
an ever expanding happy future.

Another day in paradise
I chose to record Another Day In Paradise by Phil Collins
because its not only a concious protestsong. Its a song that
make you feel vulnerable in a cold unfair world. Still it inspires
you and gives you hope. A determination to be a part of changing
this planet into a real paradise for each and everyone. In fact
this is the song that made up my mind to record this album
Lovestar.
We decided to transform the song into a big arena version with
a hypnotic endless beat. Highlighting the angelic lead theme
and bringing the shouts in the chorus to a sing-along
climax.
I hope Another Day in Paradise will bring the listener into a
trance state seeing the story of the song like an angel from above.
Like a touching movie in your dreams.

Lovestar
The idea behind Lovestar is to make a tribute to all the great
songs of the eighties. When the birth of MTV changed the music
scene forever. The universal message of pop, peace on earth, love
and harmony, upgraded itself with the arrival of the
videostar.
We all came together globally for the world premiere of Michael
Jacksons latest video. It was almost as an early version of the
internet phenomenon. Knowing that everybody in the world had
gathered around the same thing, for the same purpose. Trying to
create a better world with hitsongs.
With Lovestar I have taken some of the most important songs from
this time, songs that you could not escape whether you liked them
or not. And Ive recreated them the way I believe they would sound
today.
